Elementary

At Freedom Collective, we let our elementary-aged kiddos figure out what they really love, and give them the space to explore and grow into that passion.  We make sure all the elements of growth are available: inspiration, nourishment for the body and mind, and the tools to be able to question and think beyond the easy, simple answers.

We strive to create an environment that is focused on empathy, kindness, determination, tenacity and grit. The more we teach our children these life skills, the more likely they are to become kind, caring, empathetic, positively contributing citizans of the world.

It is not lost on us the strength it takes to continue to question and think in a world where answers are readily available at the click of a button.  By showing our kids how to learn, and then giving them the freedom to do just that, Freedom Collective students find honour in their integrity.  They feel pride in their work and accomplishments; they are shown they can make a difference, even if it starts off as a small one.

Middle

Giving our students the space to grow is not only our mandate, it’s our passion. In Middle School years, (grades 6-8) our students build from their strong foundations at the elementary age, and begin to own their relationships— with those around them, and the world at large.

It’s at this age that we allow students to dive into the things they are inspired by, knowing they have earned the autonomy they are now craving.  Integrity is key at this age.

The more we teach our children to work to their best efforts independently, the better citizens of our world they will become.

During the age when puberty seems to take centre stage, continuing to live with integrity can be very difficult. Knowing Freedom Collective is a safe place to test boundaries and make mistakes lays a foundation upon which the difficulties of puberty and the oncoming teen years can be managed. Students work toward more difficult goals with more autonomy and access to age-appropriate tools.
